Maybe it is the Grand Canyon, or even a large lake that is navigable.So, now we need to decide on the meaning of the word 'creek.' The dictionary defines it as a body of water that flows into another body of water. Since we are discussing a research paper about topics over the creek in an Indian tribe for a research paper, let's say that we are describing a group of streams in the U.S. that flow into a large body of water (a river, etc. ) that is in turn connected to an ocean. That makes it more concrete that the word 'creek' is referring to a large body of water (in this case, a river) and not just any body of water.Now, we have determined what the word 'creek' is. Let's add some meaning to the term 'creek' that describes each individual branch in the group of branches. That's where the dictionary gets a little fuzzy.
